Sintoms fret wire and tools

In February 2024

We wholeheartedly regret the suffering caused by the war and wish for an immediate end to the war and lasting peace.

In order to achieve this, extensive embargo measures have been defined by the legislator, which also apply to trade with Belarus, Sintoms' home country.

Even if Sintoms itself is not involved in the manufacture of military goods, it is affected and therefore the trade in its products. However, nickel silver fretwire and non-steel products are not affected. As a result, we will continue to be legally supplied with the very high-quality Sintoms fretwire and will be able to offer it in the usual large variety.

In the hope that there will soon be a just peace!

In March 2022
On current occasion, the following statement from the owner of Sintoms, Alexander Edelsthein:

Our Dear Partners and Friends!

The  situation in Ukraine is a stinging pain in our hearts. It is very sorrowful and hard to know that nearby, close to us people are dying.

We  have  always  been  trying to stay away from politics. And in this hard  for  all of us time we keep doing our job:  we produce frets and ship them worldwide.

We  thank  you  very much for your understanding of the situation, for your support and your orders.
Our forwarders continue shipping our products (orders) to our customers.

Only together we can survive for the future!

SINTOMS Team

Sintoms fret wire - never heard of it?

The innovative company comes from Minsk / Belarus, the so-called "White Russia" and has been producing high-quality fret wire for plucked instruments for more than 30 years.

The increasingly popular fret wire and also the tools from them are used by guitar makers, manufactures and factories worldwide.

With a small but very specialized team, the company processes over 10 different metals into over 500 different models!

Nickel silver with 8%, 12% or 18%?

Brass, bell bronze, nickel-free alloys, titanium and stainless steel - no problem at all.

In addition to the usual half-round head shapes, asymmetrical or triangular cross-sections with or without barbs are also formed.

The profile sizes range from one head width for mandolin up to high for bass-balalaika.

We have been working with Sintoms as a dealer for over 10 years and are their distributor for Germany and Austria.

This makes us the contact for professionals, resellers and of course the end user.

We are happy to answer your questions about fretting and help you find the right Sintoms fret wire.
